Meaningful Celebrations at AYC, Dahanu!

The morning liturgical celebrations spoke of joy and thrill as we united ourselves with the entire institute in celebrating the great Event of the 140th anniversary of the First Missionary Expedition. Festivities marked the day. We had lively animation of the liturgy thanking God for our audacious pioneers and imploring blessings on us that we too be vivacious and zealous in our mission that we are in. Even the Indian pasta added to our joy together at one table.

We had a great wonderful day recalling and reliving our first six pioneer missionaries setting forth to their mission land. Excitement and joy prevailed over us as we stepped into the sea and got into the boat from the Chikla port of Dahanu remembering them who left from the port of Genoa. It was exactly as they went six of them. We relived their leaving experience as Sr. Mariet Luckose wished each one of us in the boat pointing towards the large sea we have to set sail.

It was a unique experience for us praying the Lord to imbue us too with that missionary zeal to proclaim God’s love to all those in our mission.
