“YOU ARE THE POTTER, WE ARE THE CLAY”???????????????????????????????

(Minal Bhosale) It is correctly said, “That God cannot be present everywhere, so he has created parents, to share His love with their children”. Parents are the ones whose love cannot be measured by any scale available on earth. They can sacrifice anything for the sake of their children. For them children’s happiness comes before everything. We were blessed because we had the chance to have our parents in our midst. Parent’s day was celebrated for the first time and so we were all excited and waited eagerly for this day. Parents started coming from early morning. Parents came from Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

We began our Parent’s Day with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration where commentaries readings and hymns were read and sung in different languages. Fr. Lester Fernandes was the main celebrant. He gave a beautiful sermon about “Parents Love”.After the mass the parents were made to interact with each other. ???????????????????????????????

After lunch the candidates   began their programme, followed by games. It was fun to see our parents playing exuberantly and enthusiastically.  Our parents felt proud to see us all so happy. Sr. Leema Rose the animator of the community gave a meaningful message which was translated in Hindi by Sr. Anita .

The Last song “Ye toh sach hai ki bhagwan hai” brought tears to their eyes we ended with a vote of thanks.

???????????????????????????????

The day was indeed a beautiful one for each one of us. The eyes of our parents were bright with satisfaction to see their daughters doing so well. Thanks to our community sisters. Parent’s day was indeed a memorable event for all of us.

  1. I was happy to read about the celebration of Parents’ day at SJTC Lonavla….what a joy it must have been for the candidates and also for their dear ones. May our Postulants and Aspirants always feel the love and prayerful support of their dear ones on their vocational journey. And may God bless the dear families who have gifted their precious daughters to our Institute.
