AMAR # 1043 Auxilium Lonavla celebrates Children's Day!

Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla celebrated Children’s Day on 13th November. Students of the secondary section came colourfully dressed ready to enjoy the day. The teachers organized the entire programme, which began with a prayer service for the children. The photo of Jawaharlal Nehru was garlanded and the significance of the day was explained. Teachers put up a dance to entertain children. An action song too was performed by the teachers.

The headmistress Sr. Sheela Furtado addressed the school and spoke about Don Bosco’s attitude towards children. The staff had organized a funfair where every teacher conducted games. Class teachers of every standard arranged a stall each of two games. Students were given 7 coupons each to play the games. Gaily decorated stalls were filled with the buzzing of students who were happy to try their hand at the various games’ stalls. Prizes were in the form of house points. There was also a music request stall and a canteen. Students thus made the most of their day filled with fun and enjoyment. They went home at the usual time after a day well spent.
