“It is enough for me that you are young to love you” are the words of our founder Don Bosco.
The vocation and youth pastoral team coordinated together and took part in the SYMBIOS organized by the Salesian priests at Matunga. It was a two days event from 7th -8th December, for the students of Std. IX and above. It was a learning experience interacting with youngsters speaking to them about our charism and our co- foundress.
It was indeed an event that helped us to know ourselves better and our mission among the young in our care. The main them for this event was AWAKE, ALIVE and ACT which invited young people to be awake, alive and act in their daily situation of the lives of young people of all faiths.
Sr. Minal Bhonsale shared about our Salesian charism and the vocation story.
The Salesian Fathers and the Salesian Sisters exhibited their charism in the forms of selfie point, books, charts, banners, bookmarks, posters. The young girls for the event were very happy to receive personal messages from Mother Mazzarello.
Some youngsters truly appreciated Mother Mazzarello as they had heard about her for the first time. They were taken aback by her courage. Coming from a small little village of Mornese, she touched the lives of young girls and helped them to live a dignified life in a male-dominated era.
We pray to the Lord of the harvest to choose labourers for His harvest as the harvest is plentiful and laborers are very few. “Laugh, dash and play as much you like, only be careful not to say or do anything that would be displeasing to God” Mother Mazzarello.
