23 December 2019, was a red-letter day for Auxilium Convent High School -Nandgad, as we celebrated our Annual day with much pomp and show, highlighting the theme “LET US CELEBRATE OUR TOGETHERNESS”
The Chief Guest for the day was Sir Hamja Hussien, commandant, KSRP, 2nd battalion –Belagavi, Guest of Honour Mr.Ajay Heda, President of Rotary Club. The other dignitaries present were Fr.Vijay Mendith, our Parish Priest, Mr. Subani Yellur, SDMC president graced the occasion. The programme began with a solemn band that welcomed our guests. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by our chief guest and the others present and a graceful prayer dance was performed invoking God’s blessings on the event. Sr. Jyothi Pinto introduced the guests and felicitated them with sampling and a gift.
Our aim in celebrating our annual day was to bring out the theme of celebrating Indian festivals together with our mother earth. Auxilians indeed were able to put forward this theme beautifully to the audience through their lively dances, songs, and skits that were followed by a loud of applause by all present.
Our Chief Guest Sir Hamja Hussain touched the hearts of the parents through his thought-provoking insights on social media which is become a treat in the life of children. He strongly exhorted the parents to be aware of how their children make use of social media. Mr. Ajay Heda too spoke to parents about their responsibility towards their children. Sr. Rita Fernandes our manager gave a valuable Christmas message to all, after which all of them gave away the certificates to the awardees. Sr. Maria Shirsath, the headmistress extended a warm welcome to the entire guest and delivered the annual report with the vivid powerpoint presentation.
The programme came to an end with a vote of thanks and school anthem was sung in reverence as all the participants were present on the stage.
