AMAR # 1098 Sharing the joy of Christmas at Auxilium Caranzalem!

Christmas is a season of love, caring, and sharing. This time of the year urges us to ‘go out’ to the less fortunate and brighten their day in some way or the other. A group of past pupils of Auxilium Caranzalem along with Sr. Melissa D’Souza visited the homes of 6 poor/elderly people. We offered them a few useful gifts. The joy on their faces increased our own joy. We spent time with them, sang Christmas Carols and took their blessings before we left. Two of them had served our institution in the past, so we also thanked them for the service they had rendered with much love and devotion. We were indeed moved when they told us to visit them again.

Sr. Socorrina Vaz and Sr. Esperanza D’Sa along with 25 of our school students visited the Home for the Blind – Santa Cruz. There they interacted with 23 of the inmates, some of them were partially blind and some were totally blind. It was an enriching experience both for the Sisters and the students, who realized how much more grateful they ought to be for the gift of sight. They offered them different snacks, soaps, oil, etc which was previously collected in school. All the school students generously contributed towards this cause. May the Lord help us to be channels of His love for others always.
