It is said, “Love is doubled when shared”. Love was born on Christmas Day and He invites us to share this love with all, especially the less fortunate. The community of Auxilium Caranzalem invited five poor families on New Year’s Day for a fellowship meal, thus sharing the love of Jesus with them. Thus, the first day of our New Year began on a joyful note, as it doubled our joy.
The families came in at around 11.30 am and we began with a short and meaningful prayer moment in the Chapel. This was followed by a few games which were enjoyed by all. We also had spot prizes which increased their enthusiasm and happiness. We then proceeded to the refectory for a fellowship meal prepared by us. All of us enjoyed this moment of togetherness and oneness. Before leaving they expressed their thanks to us, while we too thanked them for accepting our invitation and spending their time with us. Each family was given a small gift which was much appreciated.
