All the students and the staff at Mazzarello Kendra, Kasarkod, seemed abuzz towards the ending days of December, with hectic preparations for their Annual Day. We had our annual days from 19th to 21st December 2019 with the general theme “A Heart of Love”.
On the 19th, the Kannada Medium Primary School had their annual function with Fr. Milton Fernandes,SDB, being the Chief Guest. On the 20th, The Auxilium English Medium School had their annual function with Mrs. Renee Furtado as the Chief Guest and our Parish Priest, Fr. Michael Pinto as the Guest of Honour. On the 21st, Mazzarello English Medium High School had their annual function with Fr. Milton Fernandes, SDB as the Chief Guest.
On all three days, the Primary Children of the Kannada medium staged a Christmas Tableau, while the respective schools displayed the talents of their students with songs, dance, and skits, with meaningful messages delivered through each of them.
The meritorious students in every field were rewarded during the event at the hands of the Chief Guest. The highest scorers for the past two batches of SSLC of the school were also applauded and fittingly rewarded.
The Chief Guest on all three days addressed the parents as to how they hold a great responsibility in their hands, be it of forming young future minds of the society, to mould their young to a hygienic and communicative living, wading through the dangers of social media and how the young themselves need to learn to uphold each other in this competitive world, in order to make the world we live in, a better place.
The annual day in a school marks a memorable event down history lane. The students of Mazzarello Kendra truly gave their best at whatever they staged and have proven to be receiving good holistic education in the school. We wish and pray that these young buds may one day form the cream of future creative India that all of us dream and hope for.
