On 23rd December, the staff and students of Mazzarello Kendra, Kasarkod celebrated Christmas together. The atmosphere of Christmas cheer reigned supreme in the hearts of one and all as one saw glitter and straw, bamboos and cards everywhere.
The students of the High School had a star-making competition in the morning hours, during which on witness how all the students put in their might together, without any differences in order to produce the best star for their group. And the results were amazing. Without any frame, the students started from scratch, cutting the bamboo, making the frame and then decorating it to the best of their ability, all in the matter of a couple of hours. It was evident on their faces, that they enjoyed doing all this to their heart’s content.
This was followed by a Christmas programme, which began with a short prayer moment, followed by carol singing by the students. The Headmistress, Sr. Asha Linette D’Sa, gave a short message to the students on how they need to make Christmas live today, after which she distributed the prizes for the star-making competition, the results of which were displayed in the hall for all to see.
All the students and staff wished each other for Christmas and received a little sweet before departing for their Christmas vacation.
