‘Konkani Day’ was celebrated with much joy and enthusiasm on the 20th of February, as the 21st is kept up the Matrabasha Diwas. The notice board highlighted many important aspects of our Konkani language. During the School Assembly, the Konkani teachers organized a meaningful programme consisting of skit, song, and dance enabling each of us to feel proud of our mother tongue – Konkani.
The role of Shenoi Goembab in defending and fighting for the Konkani language was highlighted. A mini-quiz too was organized and the students received prizes. We concluded with a pledge in Konkani.
