On 15th February 2020, AMAR Media Centre hosted the Auxilium Film Fiesta 2020 at Mazzarello Youth Centre, Wadala. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The Chief Guest for the day was Dr. Shobha Dedhia. She is the Associate Professor, HOD, Dept. of Commerce at Smt. MMP Shah College of Arts and Commerce, Matunga. The inmates of Anmol Koparkhairane staged a meaningful dance for the audience. This event was organised for Pan India and we received 17 films. Then followed the screening of the 9 nominated films.
The judges were Fr. Mylin Noronha SDB, Assistant Director of Tej Prasarini (Don Bosco Communications), Mr. Lloyd Mathews, a professional photographer and cinematographer, and Ms. Sharlene Lobo, an artist and journalist.
Nearly 8 schools were present for the event along with their teachers. The filmmakers who participated in the Auxilium Film Festival were among the crowd.
The first prize of Rs. 10,000 was bagged by Mr. Akshay Vaskar from Wadala, Mumbai. The second prize of Rs. 7,000 was awarded to Br. Robert from Pune and the third place of Rs. 5,000 was bagged by Auxilium Convent High School, Caranzalem, Goa.
The purpose of the Auxilium Film Fiesta is to tap the resources of the young and old in the field of social media.
