The long-awaited day arrived when Sr. Phyllis Neves arrived at Auxilium Convent, Pali Hill on 5th March 2020 at 9.00 am. A solemn welcome was accorded to her in a typically cultural manner. The students escorted her with dances and flowers. She was accompanied to the stage for the school programme by our animator, Sr. Leema Rose Joseph, the headmistress, Sr. Shiny Alphonse and the community Sisters. She was honoured with a bouquet and with a shawl followed by a beautiful cultural programme which lasted for half an hour. At the end of the programme, Sr. Phyllis Neves delivered a meaningful message and as a token of love and remembrance, key chains and chocolates were distributed to the students.
In the community, the Sisters animated a prayer moment in the chapel wherein Sr. Phyllis was asked to light a lamp and the community invoked for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. During these two days of her visit, she met students, Sisters, Co-operators, teaching and non-teaching staff and the past pupils. Her visit brought much joy and a renewed enthusiasm to continue the mission entrusted to our care.
