AMAR # 1209 Auxilium Baroda celebrates ‘Community Gratitude Day’!

“Life without thankfulness is devoid of love and passion. Hope without thankfulness is lacking in fine perception. Faith without thankfulness lacks strength and fortitude. Every virtue divorced from thankfulness is maimed and limps along the spiritual road.”― John Henry Jowett

On 17th February 2020 was a rejoicing day for us as we celebrated the Community Gratitude Day with the theme “Do whatever He tells you”. On this beautiful day, we expressed our thanks, acknowledged the presence of each other by appreciating each one’s contribution to the community and the mission.

We had a week of spiritual preparation. We began our celebration with the vigil service. Rev. Fr.Dominic Martin (SDB) celebrated the Eucharist. In his homily, he stressed upon the community living. In the community, we experience or share companionship. We live “Community communion” which does not happen immediately but following the different stages: Come together

  • Storming: – We rub shoulders with each other yet we fulfill what God wants us to fulfill.
  • Norming: – Our norms should be what Jesus tells us to do i.e. to give of our best.
  • Forming: – We form our community through our generous self giving for the spread of the Kingdom of God here on earth. And Mary our Blessed Mother is the best example to look up to.

Thus we spent our entire day in thanking and praising God the Almighty.
