The Church with great honour celebrates the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul; for they were the strong pillars who kept the Church united and spread the Kingdom of Love far and wide. This feast which is widely known as Pope’s day is very dear to us, because the devotion to the Holy Father is among the three devotions handed down to us by our father and founder St. John Bosco, which was also practiced by our dear Mother Mazzarello.
To express our love and gratitude to the Pope, the Sisters and novices of SHTC-Nashik, animated the Morning Prayer in a festive manner. In the evening the novices put up a small skit on the dream of Don Bosco of the two columns, followed by festal song and a dance. The sisters conducted a quiz on the Popes which enabled us to deepen our knowledge on the history of the Popes.
We are grateful to Jesus who continues to guide the Church-His own bride, through the power of His Spirit and the animation and guidance of His representative the Pope. Our prayers accompany our Holy Father Pope Francis, so that he may continue to guide the “barque of the Church” through the troubles waters of contemporary history.
