Mother is the heart of every home and MARY is the mother of the church, a woman who was entrusted to us as our mother at the foot of the cross. Marian month is the tradition of our congregation. One can learn from our mother to be a perfect disciple of Christ.
The community of Auxilium Convent Wadala kept up Marian month from August 15th 2020 to September 15th 2020. The theme for the entire month was “IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF MARY”. We commenced our Marian month solemnly with the solemnity of The Assumption of Our Lady. Every day the Rosary was animated keeping Mary as an example of perfect discipleship, every Saturday the recreation was animated so as to learn more about Mary and her role in our lives, on Wednesdays and Fridays at ‘Goodnights’ we shared the role of Mary in the lives our Salesian saints.
Each of us picked up a virtue to practice and imitate Mary especially throughout this month and also later on in our life.
We culminated our Marian month with well animated Evening Prayer, enjoyable Marian Nite and devotional filled Rosary reflecting on the ‘Hands of Mary’ that reached out to so many. May we all learn to grow and glow like Mary in our journey towards JESUS.
