Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello handed down to us a precious legacy – love and devotion to Mary Help of Christians.
During this lockdown, the celebration of the Marian month has a lot more meaning as we count on her help and powerful intercession.
On 20th September 2020, we, the community members of MYC Wadala, celebrated the Marian month with much fervour. Keeping on the mind the centenary celebrations, our theme was ‘Tracing the footsteps of Mary in the life of our Institute…’
During the entire month we had various initiatives which helped us to grow in the love of Mary and her Son Jesus. The culmination of this unique month was the Marian prayer service and the Marian Nite. The highlight of the prayer service was the presence of Mary in the life of our Sisters especially in the lives of our Missionary Sisters. The creative games animated during the Marian Nite indeed brought much joy to us and also to our support staff.
The day ended with the name of Mary in our hearts and on our lips. A special intention was added for the end of COVID-19.
Mother Teresa once said, “If you ever feel distressed during your day — call upon our Lady — just say this simple prayer: ‘Mary, Mother of Jesus, please be a mother to me now.’ I must admit — this prayer has never failed me.”
