AMAR # 1301 Auxilium Baroda thanks Mrs. Sheila!

Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we will miss you, until we meet again.

On October 28, 2020, Auxilium Convent High School, Baroda witnessed a memorable event. It was time to bid adieu to our dearest teacher, Mrs. Sheila Sharma, who had completed 32 years of dedicated and selfless service. She entered our institute in 1988 and ever since that time she has become a part of our family. Mrs. Sheila taught the tiny tots of the school, a task that requires loads of patience, understanding, intuition, gentleness, kindness, creativity, exuberance and love. Being a mother of three, God seemed to have endowed her with all of these, to a high degree.

The air was high spirited; the hall -festooned; the stage -set; the teachers -decked as all gathered, wished to express their sentiments through song and dance. Moved by the words of sincere appreciation and love, happy tears rolled down the cheeks of Mrs. Sheila as she tried to wipe them away. Sr. Priscilla Travasso, our superior, on behalf of the management and staff expressed her gratitude to our dear Tr. Sheila and presented her with a memento.

Finally it was Mrs. Sheila’s turn. She described the journey she had made. She expressed her indebtedness especially to the sisters who had accompanied her during her 32 fruitful years, who had helped her to give her best and to become the positive and confident person she is today. She also thanked her co-teachers who have been more than just colleagues to her and the non teaching staff.

“Leaving is sometimes tearful, sad and heart wrenching but we smile because we know that you are ours and distance would never change that.”
