On the 6th of February, the teachers kept up Gratitude Day, thanking God for the gift of each sister, with the theme, ‘You are a blessing’. The theme was well displayed both in the hall and in the sisters’ refectory. During the prayer moment, they highlighted the theme by focusing on the words ‘Beautiful shades that brighten up Auxilium’. Each of the sisters was given a candle of a different colour and the significance of each colour was read. We then had some games together with wonderful prizes. The teachers offered the sisters their contribution as a gift. This was followed by a short tea party.
On the 7th of February, we had our community gratitude day after a week-long preparation. We reflected on the theme – Building bridges of charity, humility, appreciation, generosity, patience, forgiveness, and gratitude. Each day we prayed for different groups of persons who form a part of our lives and mission. On 6th February, we remembered with gratitude our Provincial and each sister of our Province on the occasion of the Provincial Gratitude Day. We had a prayerful vigil service which led us to the feast day. Fr. Lawrence SDB celebrated the Eucharist for us spelling out the word ‘Gratitude’. We spent the day thanking God for placing us together in this community and prayed that we may give of our contribution to build a happy family.
