AMAR # 1342 Community Gratitude Day at Auxilium Wadala

“May we always say thank you to God, especially for his patience and mercy.” Pope Francis. Being thankful is raising one’s entire being to God in gratitude.

We at Auxilium Convent Wadala celebrated our Community Gratitude Day on 28th February. There was a 10-day preparation and it was centered on the theme ‘Discovering St. Joseph’. Each day was animated with a theme, culled from the apostolic letter of Pope Francis.”

These days of preparation have helped us as individuals and as a community to discover the unnoticed, discreet, and just man from the Gospel – St.Joseph. He was truly a man who perfectly fitted in the plan of God.

The day of celebration began with a solemn vigil service with anointing and blessing each other. Morning Prayer, Mass celebrated by our Parish Priest Fr James Nigrel SDB,  visit to the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary and evening prayers were well animated where every aspect of St. Joseph was relived and every member of the community was thanked for their presence, contribution, and efforts to build a community of service and peace.

The recreation was truly well conducted. The day ended with a grateful heart to the Lord for placing us in this community and helping us grow into individuals of love, forgiveness, compassion, and adjustment.

We thank Sr. Meena for being the bond in our community as an animator for her trust in each Sister and for the space she creates for us to grow. May we all be blessed and continue to make the silent man’s virtues our own. May our life continue to be a song of gratitude to God.  “St. Joseph reminds us that those who appear hidden or in the shadows can play an incomparable role in the history of salvation.” Pope Francis.
