AMAR # 1341 Thinking Day at Auxilium Caranzalem

The 22nd of February, World Thinking Day, was celebrated by the Scouts and Guides of Auxilium High School. Due to the prevailing pandemic, only the students of one division of Std IX were present. We had the Prayer Song, flag break, and Flag Song. Sr. Assumptina Fernandes, escorted by Guide Trupti Chavan, then garlanded the frame of Sir Baden Powell. Lady Scout Master, Tr. Belaxa Afonso explained the significance of the day after which Sr. Melissa D’Souza delivered Sir Baden Powell’s message to the audience.

We then had a short discussion on how each of us, true to the words of Sir Baden Powell could do our bit to spread happiness. Scout Master Sir Clive Fernandes, led the scouts and guides in taking the pledge. We then prayed the Universal Prayer, led by Guide Sarah Pinto. Together we all sang the song, ‘This little guiding light of mine’, promising to make the world a brighter place by our presence. Scout Master Jose Lopes led the entire programme while GC Margaret Menezes compered on the occasion. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
