An Initiative taken by SDB’s And FMA’s to meet the basic needs of the marginalized rural families of Ahmednagar. The second wave of Corona virus has caused devastating effects on the life of the people of Ahmednagar. Every day the numbers are continuously rising. In an average, around 4000 are tested positive every day.
Earlier, only the town area was affected but now even the villagers have been seriously ill. The people in the town live in close quarters. Taking into consideration, the severity of the situation, Mission Adhar was launched collaboratively by Sacred Heart Convent, Auxilium Convent, St. John’s Bhingar, St. Anne’s Parish, St. John Bosco Parish, Savedi and Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra.
Through this initiative, distribution of dry ration kits, Medicine bank and a Help desk was started to reach out to the poor and the needy. Altogether, we were able to reach out to a total of 360 households with grocery kits i.e. 1800 people and 513 people through the medicine kits and help desk. Heartfelt thanks to the generous donors of Mission Adhar for their contribution towards the needy in this crisis period.
