Mazzarello Youth Center, Wadala is a big community and on 12, June 2021 we had a moment of prayer and festivity as all gathered as a family under the big umbrella. The theme for the year was “A Caring Community”.
We gathered around the Lord to begin our celebration, the prayer moment let us to reflect on the need to care for one another, the various videos helped us experience the presence of Jesus, it invited us to do our part in the community as we reflected on the five loaves and two fish. Our symbol for the year is the Umbrella, an umbrella that would house us, care for us and we were invited to be contributors towards this Caring community and so each one was given an umbrella cutout to write what we can contribute to make this place a beautiful one, yes a Caring community
We then a wonderful celebration around the table, a wonderful meal was laid before us inviting us to celebrate our togetherness. We then had games animated for us which helped us come closer and enjoy ourselves.
It was also a moment of welcome for the newcomers, the animator gave each of us a gift had will be useful to us during the year.
We ended on a happy note, all under one umbrella, the great big MYC Umbrella, a home to each of us.
