The beginning of the Scholastic year 2021-2022, during this unprecedented time, was indeed a different experience for all of us at Mazzarello Kendra, Kasarkod. Even though partial lockdown continues with many restrictions, we were happy to begin our academic year on 1st July 2021. The entrance decoration, the rangoli, the banners and notice boards with welcome thoughts were appealing and the presence of sisters, teachers and of a few parents added colour to the new beginning. Though we were excited to begin, but we miss the presence of students. The students were welcomed to the academic year through virtual platform, with the enriching message by sisters and teachers, motivating the students to attend online classes and make their learning experience fruitful.
We also had school admission movement with banners and then as suggested by the education department, the class teachers presented the bridge course revision question papers to parents to give to their children to get ready for the bridge course test.
On this auspicious day, we also celebrated environment day by planting a sapling. This was also to indicate that the learning mind is like a plant which needs to grow day by day and educators are persons who nurture or facilitate the growth. Wishing each other to do their best, all got set to make teaching learning experience through virtual platform meaningful.
