To mark the feast of St John Vianney-the Patron of Priests, the Laura Vicuna Cooperators Unit, Ahmednagar celebrated the “Religious Father’s Day” on 9 August 2021. Due to the pandemic restrictions the celebration was on a low key. In a spirit of thanksgiving, the Cooperators joined together at Don Bosco Church to praise God for the gift of Fr. Record D’Silva, Fr James Tuscano and Fr. Anthony Patole, who are at the helm of the DB mission at Savedi. After the celebration of the Eucharist, there was a felicitation and a blessing song was sung.
Sr. Nilima Rodrigues FMA appreciated the priests and said that the priesthood is at the Heart of Jesus. She acknowledged that the Salesian priests have been instrumental to lead people to God especially through counselling sessions.
