This year the 22nd of August marked the day of celebrating the relationship between brothers and sisters. On this auspicious day the Novitiate community of SHTC was very glad to celebrate the occasion with the boys of Don Bosco Shelter. Around sixteen boys were present along with the Fr. Roshan Gonsalves SDB and the staff. The celebration began with a prayer moment held at our Novitiate hall animated by the Novices, imploring blessings on each of them. The Novices tied the rakhis for the boys in the traditional Indian way. The boys were very grateful and promised us their prayers and protection in return. To make the celebration lively, the novices performed a dance and taught them action songs. They too were excited and delighted to spend this day with us. The celebration concluded with the distribution of snacks. Later we also tied a rakhi for Johnson our helper.
We are very grateful to our sisters and to Fr. Roshan Sdb for giving us the opportunity of celebrating this feast, to foster true relationships as brothers and sisters. It was indeed a memorable family day.
