AMAR # 1461 Ahmednagar celebrates the Girl Child Day

On 8th September 2021 the Girl Child Day was celebrated at Auxilium School and Laura Vicuna Niwas, Ahmednagar. We organised a host of activities like song and dance performances, art and craft competitions, awareness talks, and discussions. Each sector had online as well as offline programmers participating and celebrating in the event along with their parents, Community, and teachers.

The day commenced with cultural activities, skits, and songs performed by hostel students. The key message was that girls face a lot of issues in their life, whether it’s India or any other country in the world they are expected to suffer and bear the pain. Starting from female infanticide to gender inequality to sexual abuse, there is no dearth of issues. Thus to curb these menace and to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world International Girl Child Day is observed every year. The main objective of this day is to empower young women and girls to help them to get their rights so that they can face the challenges all over the world and meet their needs.
