We at Maria Kripa, Madanthyar began our Marian month on 15 August feast of our Lady of Assumption and concluded it on 15 September, 2021. By the grace of God during this pandemic we were glad to have few hostelites with us. During this month we kept up the novena of nativity of our lady by attending everyday parish mass and goodnights which was send by the media group along with our girls. Every Saturday we had a special activity conducted for the girls and community sisters. Being in state of Karnataka we had on 8th of September the traditional feast of harvesting and family day along with our few hostel girls.
On the 15th of September the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows we concluded the Marian month with a special prayer moment, games. In the evening we had small procession with the statue of Our Lady around our campus, cultivating an awareness that Our Lady is walking in our house. Through a video presentation, we prayed the seven sorrows of Mary which was prepared by the Media team. We conducted games and distributed gifts. Sr. Prema Tauro, the animator gave the good thought as we concluded the Marian Month. We as a community did feel Mary’s presence strongly in our midst as we honoured her and we prayed that she continues to walk with us along life’s journey.
