On 2nd October we at Anmol Tangudhama celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi and kept up an hour of Shramadhan. It was a work experience and awareness on environmental cleanliness for the inmates of our centre. During the Shramadan at Santibastwad at Cross Main Road the wild plants were cleared and the pot-holes were filed up with stones and mud for the safety of the vehicles. The enthusiasm and the hard work of our children working for the safety of the public was to be admired. The Shramadan was carried out under the guidance of Sr. Smitha Monis, Mr. Praveen Gonsalves and Miss Lavanya M.
The Shramadhan was followed by the celebration of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shashtri, our great national leaders. It was indeed a good example for the larger public from these children at risk to preserve and safe guard our Mother Earth.
