The hallmark of God is His faithfulness to His chosen ones. This was witnessed in the lives of our Sisters Phyllis, Florie , Wilma, Agatha, Assumpta, Agnes, Marie, Shantha and Thelma who in unison echoed their song of thanks and praise to the Almighty who has walked with them in the response to the Call .
On 18th December 2021, the Mumbai province joined with these our Sisters, and their family members for all the Lord has wrought in their lives through the maternal intervention of our Blessed Mother in the lives of the young and all those entrusted to their care.
The Holy Eucharist was solemnized by the presence of His Lordship Bishop John Rodrigues and concelebrated by the Salesians. The liturgy highlighted the journey of our sisters in their thanks in the marvelous working to the Master`s design in their vocational journey. The sacred music too raised the spirit of this sacred moment when the Sisters pronounced their Yes. Our Provincial Sr.Meenakshi D’Silva crowned the Diamond and the Golden jubilarians as a sign of their fidelity to their Master as they intoned the Magnificat in praise to the God who walks with them.
During the homily, His Lordship spoke of the generosity and magnanimity of these Sisters who had hearken to the voice of the Master bringing to fulfillment and accomplishing all the works assigned to them to bring joy and a ray of hope in the lives of many young people.
After the Eucharistic Celebration, the moment of togetherness continued with the presentation of a citation followed with an Agape meal.
