On 8 March 2022 in the Holy Trinity church – Gomesali we celebrated the International Women’s Day. It was conducted at the parish level by the Sodality women. We had a programme chalked out for them. Sr. Jean Colas from Don Bosco Yuva Kendra- Gomesali delivered a talk on women’s day. She spoke of the first women in each field and their role and encouraged them to take the first step towards anything that is good and challenging.
Dr. (Professor) Subhas D’Souza also spoke on the good qualities of women. Mrs. Golbina Gomes and her husband Mr. Stany Gomes were special invitees for this event as they will take on some project for the betterment of women. Mrs. Philomena gave a vote of thanks and the members of sodality distributed snacks. There were nearly 145 women present for the programme. We thank God for this beautiful Women’s Day.
