The community of Auxilium Convent Baroda celebrated women’s day for the Self Help Groups the on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 13th March 2022 from 2.00 p.m. to 5 00 p.m. It was a joyous and a memorable celebration e memorable to welcome 295 women from all the groups. The prayer dance helped each of us to raise our hearts to God in gratitude for our womanhood; the traditional lamp was lit by all the representatives which helped us realize that we need to support one other to keep the flame burning in us through our good works. Sr. Priscilla Travasso was the guest of honour and the resource person of the day was none other than our very own past pupil, Mrs. Hiral Chavda, she was indeed a booster to the women, through her energizing talk, she made them understand the importance and the beauty of being a woman and the indispensable roles she plays in the society and in their families.
If we have a good will there is no age limit to begin the good work. A jam session on Ras Garba was held to activate the participants. Games were conducted by Sr. Smitha Gonsalves and Sr. Quincyann Vieira. Sr. Priscilla Travasso thanked each of them for their presence and the good will they have to help their families and the society. We thank Sr. Aruna Castelino for connecting us with the generous benefactors who have provided free Sanitary napkins to all. The prizes winners were awarded with different prizes. The beautiful celebration came to a close by being grateful to one another with a token of gratitude and refreshments.
