AMAR # 1625 Community Gratitude Day at Sulcorna

Our life is like a musical instrument upon which God plays a beautiful melody. Expressing gratitude for the miracles in and around us is one of the best ways to make each moment of our life into a divine melody. The music of divine life plays uniquely in each person’s life. At every moment of our life the goodness of God takes on a melody all its own and each new day offers a reason for gratitude.

We, the community of Mornese Vihar, after having prepared by thanking and praying in turns on each day for the sisters and our associates and having tried to live Synodal community by listening, participating, being in communion with God and one another and fulfilling our mission in a more diligent way the final community gratitude day arrived.

We began the celebration with a well prepared meaningful Vigil service, with the entrance procession led by the animator Sr. Lucy Rodrigues followed by the sisters and boarders. Sr. Lucy lit the big lamp in front of the altar. Today our focus was on our community animator, Sr. Lucy Rodrigues. The altar was well decorated with the theme: “Synodal Community”. Each sister animated the different community prayer moments meaningfully with great piety and fervor. Rev. Fr. Srendny Antao sdb celebrated the Eucharist for us in the convent. In his well prepared homily he emphasized on community communion, walking together, transparency, accountability etc. We also had a festive table laid for us. At 4.00 p.m. our workers thanked the community and also the community thanked them through a song and gave them gifts and distributed a piece of cake. In the evening the boarders through a short programme expressed their thanks.
