World day of Migrants- Auxilium Convent- Pali Hill, Bandra

On 2 October 2022, Sisters and teachers of Auxilium Convent – Pali Hill organized a fun-filled day for the migrant children and also for the parents who accompanied them. They arrived in the campus by 11 am. Their faces lit up as we served them with snacks and fruity. Interacting with them we sensed that they were happy to be in our company. They enjoyed the lively games that we conducted for them. They also danced to their heart’s content to the tune of Garba.

Sr. Shiny Alphonse in her address welcomed them and told them about God’s abundant goodness and blessings towards everybody. She made them aware that they need to be grateful to God for all that they receive through various people. It was really a touching sight when the adults and children closed their eyes to pray before meal as we played the hymn, “Prabhu Tera pyar”.  We served them with a delicious meal. We handed over the prizes to the winners of the games. Each one received a take away. It was really a joyful moment as they received a gift which meant a lot for them. It was indeed a meaningful and memorable day for each one of us as we felt blessed to spend these moments of togetherness with the migrants.
