Primary Section Value Education Day – 20th January 2023

Moral and ethical knowledge is the first point on which Mahatma Gandhi’s concept of value education is based. Any education system that lacks these two cannot be termed as good education.
Teaching the students good values and responsibility help them to think from others’ perspective and help others. It might also help them to know their purpose in life and what good things they need to do for others in society. Moral values help people to be more selfless and put the needs of others before themselves. Value education shall always play a very crucial role in the development of the child and our society as our values are moral guides.
Value Education Day and Feast of Laura Vicuna was celebrated in Auxilium Convent High School in Sr. Bertha’s Hall by the students of the Primary Section on 20th January 2023. The program began with a prayer service by the students of Std. 3 and 4 followed by skits and an action song.
The tiny tots of Grade 1 emphasized the fact that ‘Everything that God has created has a purpose’ and therefore to fondle it with care and love specifically – animals, birds, trees, flowers, mountains through a meaningful action song.
The skits and action song were based on ‘Good Human Beings and Upright Citizens’. The skits helped the students understand the importance of taking moral decisions as a good human being.
1. Std. 1 – Action song on “Respect.”
2. Std.2 Moral Science students – Enacted a skit on “Ripples of Kindness.”
3. Std.3 Moral Science students – Enacted a skit on “Truthfulness.”
4. Std.4 Religion students – Enacted the Biblical skit “The Good Samaritan.”
The program ended with Rev. Sr. Magdeline’s motivational speech. Sr. Magdeline expressed her sincere thanks to the Staff for assuming an invaluable role in moulding the students and orienting them towards good values and right attitudes.
