AMAR # 2113 Guiding Students Towards Career Success at Aux- Baroda

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt.  Several informative sessions were conducted for grades 9 to 12 students at Auxilium Convent High School, Vadodara, to guide students toward diverse career options.

On February 26, 2024, Career Naksha conducted a seminar on career guidance, emphasizing the significance of self-discovery in career planning. Mrs. Sonali and Mr. Hardik highlighted the importance of understanding one’s strengths, interests, and values before exploring career options. They encouraged students to take psychometric tests, SWOT analysis, and career assessments for self-discovery. Additionally, they stressed the need for career exploration, urging students to research different career paths, evaluate job prospects, and seek guidance from professionals and mentors.

Following this, on February 27, a career session focused on design-related professions was organized. Miss Deepika Gupta, an architect, led the session, providing insights into various design disciplines such as graphic design, fashion design, interior design, industrial design, and animation. She discussed career pathways, educational requirements, and professional opportunities in the design industry, emphasizing the importance of aligning educational choices with individual interests and career goals. The interactive seminar concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from a student representative, expressing gratitude for the enlightening session on design careers.

Continuing the trend of informative sessions, a workshop on drones and their applications was held on February 27. The session was organized by faculty members and students from Parul University’s Aeronautical Engineering branch. Mr. Rahul Mehta and Mr. Vishal Nizama provided insights into aeronautical engineering and various drone technologies, including RC drones, hybrid drones, and their applications in agriculture, search and rescue operations, surveys, and urban air mobility. Students were also educated about drone components and operations. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from a student representative, highlighting its motivational impact on aspiring aeronautical engineers.

Lastly, on February 29, a seminar on Animation, Visual Effects, Graphics, and Comics (AVGC) was conducted. The seminar showcased career opportunities in the field, with a video message from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi emphasizing its importance. The resource person enlightened students about job opportunities, app development, and diverse uses of animation and graphics. Interactive activities enhanced students’ understanding of the field, including VR gaming and a question-and-answer session. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks, reflecting its interactive and informative nature.

These sessions provided valuable insights into various career paths, fostering students’ understanding and motivation to pursue their interests and aspirations.
