Community Gratitude Day

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more we express gratitude for what we have, the more likely we will have even more to express gratitude for”.On 11th December 2017 we the community of Mornese Vihar Sulcorna ,with the theme “Christ the heart of our family”.

In the evening we began it with the vigil service. The service was well prepared and made us feel grateful for what we receive and enjoy in this our beautiful family. We prayed for each other and thanked each other with real sentiments in our hearts. The next day we woke up with grateful feelings to God the Almighty for being present in our community, in each one of us. We began this day with a prayer service that made each one feel great for contributing for the well being of our community. All boarders, hostelites and sisters were present for this great day. In the evening at 4.30 we had a solemn mass that was the highest joy of this celebration. Fr. Bernadino Da Almeida, rector of Don Bosco Sulcorna celebrated the Eucharist and with his own way made us understand more the meaning of gratitude. In the evening all the boarders and hostelites expressed their gratefulness by putting up a beautiful programme. It was indeed a great day because Jesus is the centre of our family. May Jesus continue to live in our hearts and in our community.

Christmas get together

Christmas isn’t Christmas till it happens in your heart. The joy you truly seek for is found when you give it to others. We the communities of Goa region shared this true joy and love in Mornese Vihar  Sulcorna by having a Christmas get together on 26th December 2017.

It was a great joy for us to see and to meet each other that made our relationship more tangible and real. The sisters from the different communities arrived by 11.30 am. After refreshments we began our day with a beautiful prayer service praising and thanking God for His gift of love through Jesus His only Son. Following this, we jumped into another moment of fun and games. Each community had prepared creative games and each one of us enjoyed them thoroughly. The day came to a close by sharing the sumptuous food.

Indeed we did have a meaningful Christmas here in this jungle, Sulcorna. We thank God the Almighty and thank each sisters for making this day,Christmas  a memorable one. And now we say “Christmas did happen in our hearts ’cause we searched and we found it by giving it to others”.
