On 27 January 2018,33 young girls graduated from our Auxilium community college. It Was a grand celebration for our students. They solemnly pledged to offer themselves wholeheartedly and serve the sick and suffering in the hospitals and at home.
We began the programme at 2pm. Our honorable chief guest was Dr. Suresh Pathare, the Director of CSRD college, Ahmednagar, and the Guest of Honor was Sr. Moksha Antonappa. Sr. Aruna Castellino was also present for the celebration along with Mrs.Antonella, Mrs. Maria and 4 youngsters from Italy. Fr. Baptist Monteiro, SDB Was also present. We began our program with a prayer dance and lighting of the lamp and felicitated all are guests with bouquets, coconuts and shawls.
The parents and relatives of the 2nd year and 1st year Auxilium Community College were also present to see their children graduating in their nursing Profession. There was joy and happiness on the faces of their Parents to behold their children coming up in life, and doing something for their future.
The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, our Superior, Sr. Teresa Plathara and the 2nd year students were solemnly escorted through a procession. We had a short cultural programme for the students and gave away the certificates to the 2nd year candidates and scholarships to the deserving students.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Suresh Pathare delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging and motivating the students to stand on their own feet and be thankful for the skill, knowledge and moral values received from our Institute which he stressed would seldom be received from any other institute. He encouraged the parents to help their daughters in their further studies. Mrs. Antonella presented our nurses a token from the nursing council of Genova as a remembrance of her visit.
The day ended on a happy note with a deep sense of fulfilment and satisfaction on having set another milestone by the 15th batch of the Auxilium Community College students.
