‘Helping hands and a loving heart’ ‘Long live Don Bosco’
The stage backdrop resonated with these words as the whole school assembled to celebrate the feast of our Founder Don Bosco.
The two animators Sr.Josephine Fernandes and Sr. Cecilia Crasta were welcomed at the start of the celebration.
The lamp was lit at the start of the prayer service that incorporated readings of various scriptures all echoing the theme of love. A skit was presented on the early life of Don Bosco where his Mama Margaret taught him the virtues of obedience, respect and being close to God. This ultimately prompted little Johnny Bosco to embrace the priesthood and become the Founder of the Salesian Sisters and fathers.
The school was given a half day in honour of Don Bosco.
