AMAR # 360 Graduation Day at Oros

God’s countless blessings received as another batch of 43 young girls get graduated moving out to take up the challenge of healing and serving Humanity.

4th February 2018 was a very important day to have Rev. Fr. Leandro Gracious the Parish Priest of Don Bosco’s Kudal, the chief guest Dr. Jawaharlal Henriques  M.D. of St.Anthony’s Hospital,and Research Centre Anjuna Goa, our 5 Italian Benefactors along with Sr. Joanita Antao, the Catholic Volunteers of Emmaus, parents and friends to grace the Graduation Ceremony, which commenced at 10.30 a.m. with a solemn welcome given at the  entrance.

The dignitaries, guests and the Second year nursing students were then escorted to the hall for the lighting of the lamp and the programme prepared by the first year Nursing students, the NIOS students and the boarders. Sr. Sera Menezes gave a glimpse of all the activities conducted during the course of the year.

Dr. Jawaharlal Henriques in his message thanked the sisters and the staff for having prepared the girls to work and serve in the different hospitals of Sindhudurg, Goa and Poona. These young nurses were fortunate to be trained in Spoken English, Work Skills and life Skills, as they also received a Diploma of appreciation and best wishes given by the Italian benefactors from the IPASVI Genova, Italy.

The outgoing nurses received a book ‘Dream Big Dream True’ by Sr. Teresa Joseph and a little token of gratitude from the superior. We praise and thank God for these 43 young nurses who from today will have someone’s life in their hands.

  2. Great job done by you Sisters of LVC Ahmednagar! 43 young Health workers/nurses prepared by you to help out in the medical ministry of various hospitals…may their healing ministry bring life and health to many in the years to come! Congrats! God bless you!
