AMAR # 365 Twin celebrations at EWC, Mundhwa

“Crumbs of bread make a loaf of contentment”. We, at Eusebia Welfare Centre, Mundhwa celebrated our Gratitude Day together with our house feast. Someone rightly said, “Gratitude is a gift that has no value unless you open it”. Our celebration began with a solemn vigil service of the Gratitude day along with that of Bl. Eusebia Palomino. We reflected on the fact that, each member in the community places her life, her talents and contributes to the greater mission of the community.

The Morning Prayer and the Holy Eucharist gave wholeness in our celebration. Being in a community where one feels loved, cared for and accepted are unique blessings of God above. We thank our God for bringing us together in this community where we share and experience the love of our Lord each day. Bl. Eusebia once said to a novice, “Let us do everything with love whether in the kitchen, garden or in the farm, because nothing is low in the eyes of our God.” Being in the kitchen she made it a place of educating girls who approached her.

The presence of our Sisters from Keshand and Koregaon Park along with the Salesian priests and clerics of Koregaon Park made it a family gathering. In the evening Sr. Shilpa Gonsalves and Sr. Smitha Gonsalves helped us to know Blessed Eusebia a little more thorough a power point presentation. May we continue to spread the fragrance of Jesus here in Mundhwa like Blessed Eusebia Palomino.
