“Shining as Lights in the World”
On 11th of February 2018 Auxilium Girls Promotion Centre, Oros celebrated ‘Youth Day’ for the village youth. 45 youth participated in this formative programme.
The registration began at 9:30 am .At 10:15 a.m. a session on POCSO Act of 2012 was conducted by Sr. Vandana Malya. At 11:15 a.m. the inaugural function started with a short prayer and lighting of lamp. Mr. Shekhar Samant, the chief editor of ‘Tarun Bharat’ was present as Chief Guest of the programme. Sr. PriscillaTravasso, the animator and Miss Rachel, the Catholic Volunteers of Emmaus were present as Guests of Honour.
After the prayer moment Sr. Priscilla addressed the young, warmly welcoming them to our campus. This was followed by Mr. Shekhar with the help of a ppt, spoke to the participants about today’s youth, their condition and where and what they can be. He presented a few examples of some youth who have failed in life because of the wrong path they have followed as well as youth role models who are successful and have become shining examples to others.
At the end of his talk he made the youth reflect on path of life they would like to follow. Sr. Vandana asked the youth to give their feedback about the talk and the day ended with a thanksgiving note and each of them received a pack of snacks.
