12th February was a fabulous day for the community of Auxilium Benaulim. The staff and students expressed their gratitude for the educative and effective presence of the sisters.
Auxilium Benaulim is famous for its “firsts” …. This year for the first time in the history of the school the Sisters went to school by cars arranged by the teachers, it was indeed an honour.
The staff along with the students led us into a meaningful prayer moment with the theme ‘Your love makes our lives Blossom’. The sister’s day was filled with happiness when a special flower was chosen for each sister and accordingly a prayer highlighting the qualities of the sister was prayed, invoking the blessings of the Lord.
This was followed by the teachers crowning the sisters with the same floral crown, of orchids, lilies, zinnias, tulips, roses, carnations, daises, daffodils and violets. Sr. Agatha Dias, our Superior expressed her gratitude to the teachers and the students and thanked them for accompanying her with their prayerful support and visits.
The tea break was another moment of informal expression of gratitude by the teachers. The programme was indeed magical with the melodious song, graceful dance performances, magic show by our young magicians and spot prizes for the sisters.
At the end of the programme Sr. Elizabeth Coelho thanked the staff and students for the wonderful celebration arranged for the sisters. The Staff then joined the community at the Convent for a fellowship meal.
May gratitude blossom in our lives making us signs and bearers of God’s love to all.
