13 February was a memorable day in the life of our dear NIOS students, the Sisters and teachers. The Pinewoods at Karjat was an apt place for the students to enjoy and have fun. 
We started out at 7.30 am and from then on there was non-stop entertainment. The staff there offered us wholesome meals which were relished by all of us. The swimming pools were occupied all the time and the soothing music at the background helped us to enjoy the picnic much more.
A great surprise awaited us, being the 13th of the month we decided to visit the famous Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima. We were happy to meet Fr. Allwyn Misquitta SDB who was present for the services. The Parish Priest Fr. Callistus Fernandes explained to us in detail the history behind this place and made us reflect on our needs and wants because of which the world is going in another direction.
The precious relics of young saints Jacinta and Francisco were kept for veneration. Our hearts were filled with thanksgiving as we realised that Our Lady is always present with us and she makes her present felt always and everywhere.
