On 17th March, 24 youngsters of Std. IX of Auxilium, Benaulim, marched out solemnly, to take responsibility as leaders of the School for the new academic year 2018-19. The investiture Ceremony began with an invocation of God’s blessings on our chosen leaders through a short prayer moment. The theme for the day was “Leadership – Life giving Waters”. Water is God’s gift to us and so is the leadership quality in people. When water is clear, fresh and flowing it brings life to all living beings. Similarly, if leadership is clear, fresh and flowing, all those around will experience a healthy growth.
A school with good leaders is like the water that refreshes the entire surrounding and bears good fruits of discipline. Sr. Elizabeth Coelho, the headmistress did the honours of investing our young leaders and blessing each one of them. Sr. Agatha Dias, the animator and manager, gave a valuable message to the newly appointed leaders and to all the students witnessing the Investiture Ceremony that leaders should obey, listen and follow.
The High School Investiture Ceremony was followed by the Primary School Investiture. 14 young bubbling leaders promised their help, support and cooperation in handling the discipline and in the well being of the school. In their attire of leaders one could read in their eyes ‘I am proud to belong to Auxilium and I will make Auxilium shine.’
