AMAR # 433 Gratitude Day with the workers in Mundhwa

“Gratitude is recognizing what’s best in others and appreciating it”. In preparation for our Provincial Gratitude day, we the community of Eusebia Welfare Center, Mundhwa, kept up gratitude day for our house helpers Ms. Basanti and Ms. Lucy and our driver Mr. Suraj Masalkhamb who are our long hands in the community.

We expressed our gratitude and appreciation for all the help they render to our community, helping us carry forward our mission here at Mundhwa. We began with a short prayer service, praying for them and their families. What they appreciated the most was when we extended our hands over them and sang a song of blessing for them and for their near and dear ones. Later in our basement, Sr. Smitha Gonsalves animated fun-filled games for them, which they enjoyed to the full, actively participating in it. Useful prizes were distributed to the winners.

The celebration concluded with a fellowship-meal or “bada-kana” which all of us enjoyed together as a family.  Our Animator Sr. Wilma De Souza expressed our grateful thanks to them for their precious service to our Community and offered them a monetary token of gratitude. They appreciated this gesture of thanks and thanked the Sisters for this happy surprise.

“Thank you Lord for our helpers”! May we always live with a song of gratitude in our hearts, Amen.”
