AMAR # 434 Boscoree preparation at Ahmednagar
“Bosco Bosco Bosco, Boscoree…” A great joy arises when the name of our founder is pronounced with an another great lover of youth named “Baden Powell”. On 2nd to 7thApril ,the great opportunity took us (the sisters of Bombay province) to train ourselves for the upcoming  the 13th  Boscoree. It was a fabulous moment of togetherness as trainees. Here is the joyful experiences of our novices:
Be prepared, Be prepared Be prepared.. The motto was of the Scouts\ Guides were repeated very often to keep me aware that I have to prepare myself well for the 13th Boscoree-2018-19. It  was an experience of joy where I learnt to share. The sun never affected me, but gave encouragement to give myself and salute the flag.                                                                          –Sr. Vencila
“Hatado Buildings, lagado tamboo..’With the yell, I joyfully attended the Boscoree training camp. I learnt many new things which I didn’t learn in my school scouting days, The pitching the tents, the gadgets and knots reminded the fun we had in the school ,and with the same enthusiasm I received more knowledge of scouts/guides. “It’s hard to forget some thing which gave you so much to remember.”     -Sr. Prezy Parmar
The five days of Boscoree camp was really a very beautiful and learning experience. I had no idea what it would be, but now I have understood it’s not an extra curricular activity  but part of life. So now it’s time to start to get ready and explore to be with the young for the 13thBoscoree!!           Sr. Jesmine
I am very happy to participate and learn in this Boscoree camp for the preparation of the 13thBoscoree. This was my first experience. The motto “Be prepared” made me to admire those responsible. As we prepare for the forthcoming Boscoree let us all “Be prepared- physically, mentally, spiritually”.
-Sr. Akshitha Maria Lobo
We went to Nagar for the training for the Boscoree. It was the first time for me to know something about Scouts/Guides. The leaders were always available to help us. We leart various kinds of knots and we enjoyed a lot in our subcamps as we were doing our pioneering project and building a tent.It was very nice to have this training together with SDB and  FMA                                    -Sr. Rani Pandit
The motto of the Scout /Guide calls us to “Be prepared’. And so to prepare ourselves for the upcoming Mega event 13thBoscoree the programme committee had organized 4 days camp in  Ahmednagar .I was happy to partake in this camp. This was truly  a learning experience learnt many new things and which has helped me to prepare myself for 13thBoscoree.                                -Sr.Khushboo Vasava

The experience of Boscoree training was like filling a jug drop by drop.During those 4 days of training we put our efforts and hard work and achieved much. Our greatest joy was to see the the pioneering project at the last day.I can say our jugs are really filled.Let us “Be prepared”.-Sr.Jennifer Macwan

Bosco… Bosco… Boscoree

In the final letter to the Scouts, Lord Baden Powell the founder of the scouting Movement wrote: “I have had a most happy life and I want each one of you to have a happy life too. I believe that God put us in this jolly world to be happy and enjoy life. Happiness does not come from being rich, nor merely being successful… Try and leave this world a little better than you found it and when your turn comes to die, you can die happy in feeling that at any rate you have not wasted your time but have done your best. “Be prepared” in this way, to live happy and die happy – stick to your scout promise always – even after you have ceased to be a boy or a girl and God help you to do it.”

To “be prepared” for the 13thBoscoree held at Mumbai Province in Nashik from 30th December 2017 to 3rd Jan 2018 the Salesians, brothers,  FMAs and Novices had an advanced training held at BGVK Ahmednagar from 3rd April to 7th April. It was well organised by Fr. Glen Lowe and his team. Scout Masters Mr.Amalraj and Mr. Raja from Madras were invited for the same. Also two guides Mrs. Anjali, Sir Bola and Mr. Qureshi were present.

They were constantly present with us and showed us various techniques how to pitch a tent, knots and lashings used to prepare pioneering projects, gadgets and the gates. It was a wonderful experience of FMA – SDB collaboration wherein we grew more in being responsible and put our heart and soul in learning what was taught to us, thus to be prepared for the forth coming Boscoree.

We thank Fr. Godfrey D’souza, SDB Provincial, Sr. Rita Dora FMA Provincial, Sr. Rita Lobo, Fr. Glen Lowe, Fr. Savio, Fr. James Tuscano, Sr. Nilima Rodrigues and all those involved in making this a delightful experience for all of us participants.

May we all keep the fervour and the enthusiasm going and “Be Prepared” for the Bosco…Bosco…Boscoree.
