The 13th of July 2018 was a joyful day for the children of Ashish Bhavan, and for the school children of Kune. In the morning at 9.00 am, all gathered together in the school hall to celebrate the feast of our saintly mother, Maria Mazzarello.
The function began with a prayer dance. The life of mother Mazzarello was screened by Sr. Vaneeta Christi and Sr Sangeeta Salve. 
A few items were staged which was followed by the investiture programme. A new set of leaders were chosen for the year 2018-2019 to carry out the responsibility of the school.
The animator Sr. Teresa Dharmaraj was the chief guest for the day. She encouraged the children to study well and become someone great in life for that” you must pray, study well and try to focus on your goal.” The same day in the evening at 6.30 there was a solemn Holy Eucharist for the children of the house as well as the children of the village which were 50 in number.
Fr Xavier Devdas SDB was the principal celebrant, he spoke on the life of mother Mazzarello and asked the children who were present to pray for the Sisters, who work for the poor and marginalized of the society. The day ended with a festive meal for all the children.
