AMAR # 501 FIRST DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF SR. EDVIGE NAZARETH

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear”. Yes very true, our dear Sr. Edvige Nazareth who went to Eternal world is with us, through her exemplary life even today as we celebrate the FIRST DEATH ANNIVERSARY.

On 28th July we celebrated the first death anniversary of our “SINGING NUN” Sr. Edvige Nazareth at 7 o’ clock at M.Y.C chapel along with her family members and our Sisters from the neighboring communities of M.Y.C, Bandra – Provincial House, and Pali Hill. Fr. Aniceto Nazareth, brother of Sr. Edvige, celebrated the Eucharist as Fr. Salvodar D’souza and Fr. Vivian D’souza the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Dolours, Wadala were the con- celebrants. Sr. Gloria Ferrao beautifully animated the liturgy as Sr. Kalyani Subramaniam helped with the melodious choir of Auxilium Sisters.

Later after the Eucharist, all were gathered for a short program while the songs of Sr. Edvige were resounding all over the place. Sr. Meena D’Silva animator of the community welcomed everyone and animated the short program which included a power point presentation on the life of Sr. Edvige prepared by Sr.Reshma Rosario. There was an open invitation given to the assembled gathering to share their sweet memories of Sr. Edvige. At the end Fr. Salu prayed over the meal and by thanking each other we dispersed to our destination.

We thank GOD for the exemplary life of our dear Sr. Edvige Nazareth and all that she was. May she rest in peace.

Thanks to all those who reached out to us. May Sr.Edvige bless all of us with greater fidelity and commitment in the Lord’s vineyard.
