The Province of St. Mary Mazzarello, Mumbai organized two days of workshop for Leaders of Communities on Human Resource Management at Mazzarello Youth Centre, Wadala Mumbai from 2-3 August 2018. Mr. Arian Rosario, HR Consultant and Trainer working at Infinity Consultant and his team systematically led us through these two days with very enriching sessions.
The innovative presentations gave us a good idea of our personalities and of our deepest needs – need to achieve, need of affliction and need for power. The topics covered were as follows: Building Relationships and motivating teams, Planning strategy, Decision Making and Problem Solving, Developing Resilience, Team Building & Group Dynamics, Goal Setting, Time Management and Understanding the Four Pillars of HR.
The HR Policies can help us to define a strategy for developing, communicating and enforcing a set of practices that reflect our standards in management. Setting up successful policies and practices strategy, do more than drawing boundaries; they will also help to recognize and address people’s needs and focus on specific goals and to achieve them.
The climax of these two days workshop was the innovative session on Fund Raising and the Wish Tree. The various ideas presented by Miss Rose Gomes will be of great help to all of us we venture along with their communities to raise funds so as to be able to reach out to those most in need and to help in the development of the mission.
We wish to express gratitude and appreciation to our dearest Provincial, Sr. Rita Dora Thomas and our Vice Provincial, Sr. Magdeline Sequeira for organizing such a beautiful workshop for us. Thanks to Sr. Rosaline Pereira for coordinating the entire workshop and to Sr. Caroline Menezes and community for their hospitality and care towards all the participants.
