Cancer awareness programme in Renuka Nagar school

On 7th July we had another awareness programme for the children and parents of the Renukanagar school. The team had come from Aarambh Cancer Care Center, Ahmednagar.  Mr. Darkunde was the Resource person for the day. He spoke about the causes and effects of cancer and the how, where, why and whom of it. 

This center is ready to help and support patients who are just in the beginning stage or in the terminal or 3rd to 4th stages.   The parents and teachers were very happy and grateful for arranging this informational programme.

Circus  Show to our Project Children

On 18th July the children of the ZP and  Nagar Palika schools were indeed glad and overjoyed to view the circus. Around 350 children from 5 different schools were taken to enjoy the show.  They were delighted and excited. Their joy knew no bound.  Teachers too enjoyed the show free of cost.

The Manager of the circus was kind and generous enough to provide this opportunity for our poor children with many concessions.  We are grateful to them. And ask the Good Lord to bless them and their business too.  

 

 

 

Distribution of the stationary

The children of the ZP and Nagar Palika schools were indeed happy and delighted to receive some useful stationaries for their daily studies. Some good and generous people came forward and contributed stationeries and useful items to us so we were indeed happy and thankful towards them for their good and thoughtful deeds which brought smiles on hundreds of underprivileged children.   May God bless them.

 

 

 

 

 

Health Camp for the village people

28th was another important day for the women and villages of  Gajrajnagar, Fakirwada,  and Kala Matha slum.  The Health camp- was arranged for this people in order to start the  Mobile health facilities from ‘Help Age India’.

The Help Age India is very much interested to help the sick people to provide free medical aid.  So, they conducted a free health camp to study the health condition of the people and the number of the villagers. They were happy to get 120 patients.  We shall start the mobile van in this village with the permission of the Sarpanch.

Inauguration of the  10 coaching classes in Zilla Parishad schools

On 2nd July 2018, we had another great day for the children of the Zilla Parishad schools from class first to seventh. We began quality education for the children of the underprivileged.   The coaching classes will be held from 8.30 to 10.30 in the morning for them. Good and well-qualified teachers who are interested in the children’s’ welfare will be catering to them personally. 

The children come from poor family backgrounds.  The parents of the children are happy and grateful for this noble initiative. Amon those present at the function were the   Nagar Sevak, School headmaster, teachers,  Mrs.  Kaumodi from, Mumbai and CSR members from the Crompton and Greaves company. Sr. Teresa Plathara, the animator of Laura Vicuna Niwas, A’nagar was also present.  It was indeed an important day for the children.

 

Teachers’  Training

We the sisters of Laura Vicuna Niwas organized a 2 Days Training for the Zilla Parishad project teachers. Sixteen teachers were present for this training.  

Mr.   Raghunath   R. from Bangalore was the Resource person for the programme.  He trained the teachers on soft skills through a power point presentation and interacted with them through games and documentary films.  The teachers were happy to be a part of this training session.
